SYSCO Targets Ag SustainabilityOctober 25, 2004 SYSCO's sustainability initiative is in response to growing demand for such products by foodservice operators. Watson will foster highly differentiated products that are profitable to all stakeholders, encourage farmer ownership and control, and contribute to environmental stewardship and rural vitality, the company said. Watson, 52, was born in Waterloo, Iowa and raised on a farm near Elkader, Iowa. He is a graduate of Iowa State University, located in Ames, Iowa, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in animal science in 1974 and a master's degree in meat science in 1976. |
